Today is Mission Sunday Theme: “Growing in Communion”
“Faith is a gift that is given to us to be shared. It is a talent received so that it might bear fruit. It is a light that must never be hidden. It is the most important gift that has been
given to us in our lives and which we cannot keep to ourselves.” Pope Benedict XVI for Mission Sunday.
World Missions Ireland, the national office of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, agrees on projects to be funded and then sends the money directly to the mission Diocese, thus ensuring accountability and independent financial scrutiny.
The annual collection for the Missions replaces the Share collection today and your usual generous response would be appreciated.
Sacrament of Baptism
Last week we welcomed into our Christian Community through the Sacrament of Baptism:

Thanks for a Beautiful Celebration
Thanks and congratulates to all the couples
who celebrated significant wedding anniversaries during the year and who participated in last Sunday’s Wedding Anniversaries Mass
Sincere thanks to all those who helped make it a special celebration: the Liturgy Group, those who helped with the wonderful music and singing, with the decoration of the church and altar, and with the hospitality.
Parish Visitation
This week, Fr. Pat will continue his visitation on MOUNT PROSPECT AVENUE, continuing on the even numbers.
Mass for all Those who Died during the past Year Sunday 4th November at 10.30 am
We have written to the families of all those whose funerals took place in St. Gabriel’s Church since last November inviting them to participate in this Mass.
However, some of you may have lost loved ones during the last year whose funerals took place elsewhere. If you would like to have someone included in our Mass, when we will have a cross and candle for each name, please contact Anne in the Parish Office on 8333602.
Thank You !
The Dublin diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes gratefully acknowledges an additional sum of €200 contributed by the Parishioners of St. Gabriel’s towards the Invalid Section.
Forms and Envelopes for the new Parish Altar List of the Dead are now available at the missalette stands. Completed forms may be dropped into the boxes at the back of the Church or handed into the parish office / sacristy.
